Ok, yesterday(4th dec), I went to a choir concert with Carly and Mayshuen. It was very, VERY nice!! I especially liked the japanese GAIA choir, a highly proclaimed choir from Tokyo, Japan. I have to admit, that all the choirs did an amazing job, the choir from the Phillipines and the SYC(Singapore Youth Choir) I hope that i'll get another chance to see the concert again!! They all had very nice songs, like the stawbag stacking song(Tawara-tsumi-uta), Mihara Yassa Bushi(Dance of Mihara City), Shinjiru(to believe) and I heard a wonderful repetition of the famous song "You raise me up" by the fillipino choir.
Carly, MayShuen and I were supposed to meet at Breadtalk, j8 at 6pm. But the timing was very unexpected. I arrived at 5.36pm, only to wait there for Carly, who came at 6.12pm, and Mayshuen, who came "later than expected", according to her, at around 6.30pm. When Mayshuen arrived, a few teenage reporters for "the strait times" came to ask a few questions until...omg, 6.36pm. As if we were't late enough already, they asked us alot of questions, like "Have u ever downloaded something illegal", or "do u know the consequences of downloading illegal stuff". I mean, pls lah, if I were to download illegal stuff, would I be so dumb to tell u, a THE STRAITS TIMES reporter, that I downloaded illegal stuff??! hahas, Carly and I acted dumb though we did not, in fact, download anything illegal. We were like "huh? U mean maple? Yeah, I download maple wad, illegal meh?" Then we rushed off to Sakae Sushi, mayshuen has a $10 off voucher and a sakae sushi membership card, so might as well eat there. I just like grabbed 3 plates of sushi and rushed off to buy junk food to bring into the esplanade incase I was hungry. Meanwhile, Carly was still trying to munch down her peas as fast as possible...hahas. We were supposed to leave the bishan train at 6.45pm, but hey, we reached Sakae Sushi at 6.40pm, how can we eat in just 5 mins?? In the end, we left and caught the train at around 7.02pm. At the city hall and Esplanade underpass, we were running like mad, then when we were tired, we did power-walking(walking almost as fast as running), then continue running again.
We reached the esplanade at 7.20pm, oh thank god, we were 10 mins earlier than the starting time of the show...PHEW!!! I met Carly's piano teacher for the very 1st time and I realised that almost all piano teachers look the same, including mine, haha. Carly's teacher looks so cute! <3 She has a round face and big eyes, cute cute Kawaii!!! xD
So, after taking the tickets from Carly's teacher, we were rushing into the hall2, when carly suddenly had a nature's call, and rushed to the toilet. While she was in there, mayshuen and I heard this announcement "Ladies and Gentlemen, 1 min left before the show starts..." Luckily Carly came out in a few secs, or we wouldn't have made it...lucky Carly.
We rushed in and started finding our seats. We thought it was somewhere at the back, but we couldn't find our row, so we asked the usher. The 1st time I've ever sat so near to the front, I couldn't believe it when she said "5th row from the front" Back to my junkfood, I kept munching on it so loud that the woman beside me kept glaring at me...of course I pretended not to look at her, haha, and worst still, I continued eating. The japanese conductor, Ko Matsushita was a really nice guy, he kept saying "my stupid english" and stuff like that. All the songs the japanese Gaia choir sang was composed by him...wow! So, alls well ends well, we had a nice time today, and hope for a more exciting event next time!! =) The End~
